In the last few weeks I’ve felt a little overwhelmed, as sometimes happens when I look at the big picture and forget to focus on little things like a simple day hike. I’ve made my way to the trail for a few short walks, but mostly I’ve been staying at home in Keene to finish my PCT apps and avoid having to refuel my car. Some day, maybe, I’ll wind up unemployed after saving lots of money rather than right before I can count myself as financially stable. That’ll be the day.
Until then, I can do like I did this Easter weekend, and take a little trip home to Maine. I can spend some time with my parents, see my old pal, Tom, and go for a few short hikes in the Camden Hills.

It’s been a long spring so far. It’s probably just cabin fever. Only one month to go before the big summer starts. It will sure be nice to take a break from programming and being unemployed. Until then, there’s still a lot of work to do.
