If the basic parts of my plan work out, today will be the third day of my end to end hike of the Long Trail in Vermont, heading south from the Canadian border at North Troy to Williamstown, Massachusetts. I’m very excited, especially since last year I missed my annual long-distance backpacking trip. This one isn’t as long as some of the others I’ve done, but it holds a special place in my heart.
While I’m away, here’s a little look into the planning process I used for food and equipment. I think they’re relatively self-explanatory, but feel free to post any questions you have on the comments section below. I’ll be happy to answer them when I get a chance.
By the way, huge thanks to Gossamer Gear for letting me test out their new Kumo backpack, and Larabar for sending me a pile of their wonderful snack bars for the trail. Both are going to help quite a bit on this hike!
