It’s been a very busy summer! Hong Kong, NOLS, Long Trail, lots of family time– it’s actually felt busier than a summer on the PCT or AT. To finish off the craziness of the past four months, I’m on my way to Michigan now to officially welcome a new member to my family, and be the best man at my brother’s wedding.
After the wedding, Yvonne and I will be moving right back into our apartment in Keene, which we’ve been subletting for the summer. While I’ve been off doing my various adventures, Yvonne has spent the summer at Appalachian Mountain Club’s August Camp in Whistler, BC, and then backpacking in Yosemite. She has plenty of amazing photos from the past few months. We’ll see if I can convince her to make a little blog post about her good times out there (and make me look like a wimp). She’ll be mighty busy back in her grad school program, though, and we’ll both be busy getting back into the home-life routine.
I’ll probably slow down with blog posts for the next month or so, in order to focus more on getting my life back to normal. But keep an eye out in the fall and winter for what’s coming up next. I get the feeling that there will be some really great hikes going on soon, as well as some exciting plans for the coming year. In the meantime, get out and enjoy those trails!
